Disclaimer
Last updated: 3 July 2026
Read this first. Everything Ankeshan publishes or produces — every guide, article, calculator, template and software output — is for general information and productivity only. It is not tax, legal, accounting, financial or professional advice, and must never be relied on as such. Indian tax, GST, payroll and compliance laws change often and depend on your exact facts, so information here may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Always independently verify every figure, rate and due date, and consult a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, tax practitioner or lawyer before you file, pay, or make any business or compliance decision. You use Ankeshan entirely at your own risk.
Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using the Ankeshan website (ankeshan.com), our guides, articles, calculators, free Excel templates, or the Ankeshan software (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this Disclaimer in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information and productivity only — not professional advice
All content on this website and all outputs of the Ankeshan software — including but not limited to guides, articles, blog posts, checklists, FAQs, calculators, worksheets, free Excel templates, sample figures, tax rates, due dates, computations, returns, invoices, payslips, ledgers, reminders and reports — are provided for general informational and productivity purposes only.
They are not, and must never be treated, relied upon or represented as, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, financial advice, investment advice, or professional advice of any kind. They do not take account of your specific facts, circumstances, business, transactions or obligations. Nothing on the Service is a substitute for the tailored judgement of a qualified professional who has reviewed your situation.
The Ankeshan software is a productivity and calculation tool that helps you organise your own data inside Excel. It does not "file" for you, does not certify your compliance, and does not replace your accountant, auditor or advisor.
2. No professional, advisory or client relationship
Using the Ankeshan software, reading this website, downloading a template, using a calculator, or contacting us does not create any professional, advisory, consultant, client, engagement or fiduciary relationship of any kind between you and Ankeshan, its owners, employees, contributors or contractors.
We are not acting as your Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, tax practitioner, lawyer, auditor or financial advisor, and no communication from us should be understood as professional advice or an assurance of any outcome.
3. Laws change; information may be incomplete, outdated or wrong
Indian tax, GST, income tax, TDS, payroll, labour, MSME and corporate compliance laws — including rates, thresholds, forms, procedures and due dates — change frequently, are often notified at short notice, and are highly fact-specific. Their application depends on your particular circumstances.
Despite our best efforts to keep content accurate and current, we make no representation or warranty — express or implied — that any information, figure, rate, date, calculation or output on the Service is accurate, complete, current, reliable or suitable for your purpose. Information may contain errors or omissions, may be out of date, or may simply not apply to your situation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
4. You must verify everything and consult a qualified professional
You are solely responsible for independently checking and verifying every figure, rate, threshold, due date, computation and output before relying on it. Wherever possible, verify against the official sources — for example the GST portal (gst.gov.in), the Income Tax Department, CBIC, EPFO, ESIC, the Ministry of MSME and the MCA — and their latest notifications and circulars.
Before making any tax, GST, payroll, filing, financial, compliance or business decision — or acting or refraining from acting on anything you read, calculate or generate using the Service — you must obtain and rely on the advice of a qualified and appropriately licensed professional (a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, registered tax practitioner or lawyer) who has assessed your specific facts. Do not treat any content or output as a green light to file, pay or transact.
5. No liability — use is entirely at your own risk
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ankeshan, its owners, promoters, employees, contributors and contractors accept no liability whatsoever — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise — for any loss, damage, cost or consequence of any kind arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or reliance on the Service or any content or output, including without limitation:
- any tax, GST, TDS, payroll, penalty, interest, late fee, demand, notice, scrutiny, prosecution or other compliance consequence;
- any miscalculation, misfiling, wrong return, wrong invoice or incorrect payment;
- any financial loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss;
- any data loss, data corruption, file damage, software error, bug, downtime, or incompatibility; and
- any error, omission, inaccuracy or omission in any content, calculator, template or software output.
Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk, and you assume full responsibility for all decisions and outcomes. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6. Software runs locally — your data and backups are your responsibility
The Ankeshan software is designed to run offline and locally on your own computer, and your business data stays on your machine. Because of this, you alone are responsible for maintaining regular, secure backups of your data, files and Excel workbooks. Ankeshan does not store your books for you and cannot recover, restore or reconstruct data that is lost, deleted, overwritten, corrupted or otherwise damaged, however that occurs. Keep independent backups before and after using the software.
7. Third-party names, trademarks and comparisons
References on the Service to third parties, products or services — including competitors such as Tally, Vyapar, Zoho and others — are made only for general information, description and comparison. All product names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, partnership with, or endorsement by those parties, and no such association should be inferred. Any comparison reflects our general understanding and may not be current or complete; verify independently.
8. External links are not endorsements
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, resources or tools provided for convenience only. We do not control, monitor or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, availability, security or practices of any external site, and a link does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update or revise this Disclaimer at any time without prior notice. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was last changed. Your continued use of the Service after any change means you accept the revised Disclaimer.
